GerardFogartyGerard married Mandy in 1986 and they have four children Sam (b. 1994), Holly (b. 1996) and Olivia and Georgia (b. 1998). Gerard joined the Army six months after school and remains in the organisation to this day, presently serving in Canberra as the Director General Personnel (HR Director for Army). His service in the Army has taken his family to Perth, Adelaide, Queenscliff, Sydney and to the US (twice). He has also served on operations recently in East Timor, Afghanistan and Iraq. In all three cases, he was the Commander of Australian Forces. Gerard and Mandy are now well established in Canberra and do not envisage living anywhere else until their children finish school! |
